Title: ANOTHER DATA.OVL FIX
Post by: wkw427 on September 11, 2011, 08:32:52 pm
Hi!
Although not as good as the other one, it will allow the game to run without any system settings being changed, at a high FPS!

All you need is that. This little thing can run older games in a window, and I tried to getting FFT2 to run in a window, however it did not work.
Instead, it ran fullscreen.
But, the game ran.

I would only recommend this if you have a 4:3 monitor, otherwise the screen is stretched and looks strange.

FFT1 baerly works. I managed to start the game, but changing menus causes the windowed game to stop responding.

Thanks for the info!  Great stuff!

What operating system are you running FFT1 in?

Windows 7 32bit for all tests

I think the first one works OK in XP, but not too well in 7

Probally. Next time I grab my USB I'll copy the .iso of FFt1 and install it on my netbook. FFt2 runs fine on it, because it is integrated graphics, so I would assume that FFT1 would run fine.

However, still, running both in a windows 98 virtual machine works fine
